How Honesty Can Win Friends in the Gratitude Economy

Building deeper relationships with trust & honesty.

Most of us have a circle of businesses that we consider “trusted advisors” in our lives. This is a huge part of the Gratitude Economy. It could be anyone from the dry cleaner you drive across town for, to the dental hygienist who tells it like it is, to a wise, grandfatherly attorney. In this video, you will learn why you want to be a “trusted advisor” to people and how to help customers feel like they have “an insider” in their corner, and that can be you!

What is the Gratitude Economy?

In short, it is a part of the larger economy where people have stopped shopping for the best deal, and instead, they lead with their values. They are looking for brands that are contributing to the greater good, not just their shareholders. They are looking for local businesses that go the extra mile, places that feel like trusted advisors.

In fact, fully 69% of consumers now self-identify as “values driven”, meaning they are making conscious choices to do business with individuals and companies they are grateful for.  Think about the hair-dresser you drive across town for because they make you feel like a million bucks, or a global outdoor gear company who is giving all their profits to stop climate change.

This is the growing Gratitude Economy. And the best part, is that we can all both work in it and participate as consumers.

It’s a win for people, business and our shared futures.
