The first bite of real food that you ever enjoyed was probably something simple, like the sweet mush of a ripe banana or peas. If you’ve ever tried caviar and didn’t care for its briny charisma, you can rest easy. The caviar we are about to experience is not like that of traditional caviar, at all! No, these small flavorful pearls grow on trees.
This pretty caviar we are introducing to you today comes from a rare fruit native to Australia 1! (Part of the reason why this citrus is so special is that it can only be grown in regions that receive over 300 days of sun a year.)
So, we’re going to get a taste for this culinary delicacy through the eyes of one of our favorite creators, Great Big Story! We’re headed to Europe, where nestled in a particularly sunny part of France, lives a lovely young couple who fell in love with a rare fruit called the finger lime!

Taking a break to acknowledge these sprinkles of joy in our daily lives might even make it easier to cope with the challenges we face. They serve as a gentle reminder when times are tough, that the world isn’t all bad after all!
